TRAVIS SCOTT'S NIKE COLLAB, WHICH WAS POSTPONED, WILL RELEASE THIS MONTH

Travis Scott's latest Nike collaboration, which had been put on hold indefinitely following the Astroworld tragedy, has resurfaced. On May 27, the shoe company is expected to unveil the rapper's previously unreleased Air Max 1 and Air Trainer 1.

The Air Max 1 includes reversed Swooshes in "Baroque Brown" and "Saturn Gold," giving the famous Tinker Hatfield design a topsy-turvy twist. The Air Trainer 1 features Cactus Jack-branded straps and zippers at the heel in the colours "Coriander" and "Grey Haze."

Scott's cautious but deliberate return to the spotlight, which has further divided his supporters and detractors, coincided with the debut of both shoes. Scott appears to be preparing the public for the release of his upcoming album, Utopia, whether controversial or not.

He signed up to headline Primavera Sound, a music event starting November 6 in So Paulo, Brazil, just weeks after installing billboards promoting Utopia along the highway to Coachella. He performed "Mafia" and "Lost Forever" at the Billboard Music Awards on May 15, his first major public engagement since Astroworld.

Nike is prepared to help Scott restore his reputation, but his other collaborators have yet to do so. The rapper's Dior capsule collection and Cacti hard seltzer are still on hold - at least for now.
